About The Author Arnold Lobel:

Arnold Lobel (born May 22, 1933, died December 4, 1987) was a common writer of children's books. Among his top books are those in the Frog and Toad series, and Mouse Soup.

Lobel won the 1981 Caldecott Medal for his book Fables.

Lobel equally illustrated the functions of additional authors. A notable illustration is Sam the Minuteman by Nathaniel Benchley, initially published in 1969.
