About the Author Stephenie Meyer:

Stephenie Meyer is the writer of the book Twilight as well as its sequels New Moon and Eclipse.

Meyer was born in Connecticut, the 2nd eldest of 3 sisters and 3 brothers, and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona.

Meyer attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she majored in English. She met her spouse Pancho when she was growing up in Arizona and wedded him in 1994; together they have 3 sons: Gabe, Seth, and Eli. Meyer belongs to the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Meyer states that the idea for Twilight came to her in a dream on June 2, 2003, the transcript of that is today Chapter 13 of the book. After composing and modifying the novel, she finalized a three-book deal with Little, Brown and Company.

The sequel to Twilight, New Moon, had an unintentionally staggered launch all over North America, beginning in early August 2006. The 3rd book in the series, Eclipse, was introduced on August 7, 2007. The 4th book, Breaking Dawn, is introduced on August 10, 2008. She has mentioned on her webpage that there is over 4 books, though the narrator would change. Midnight Sun is more of the companion piece to the series (if published) instead of a genuine sequel, as it describes "Twilight" within the view of Edward Cullen. A rough initial chapter of Midnight Sun has been posted on her url, though she has reported that it is edited and otherwise changed before being introduced as a novel.

Published novels

Her initially novel, Twilight, was published in October 2005. By November 2005, Twilight reached #5 found on the New York Times Best Seller List for young adult chapter books [. The book additionally fast gained recognition and won many honors including:

Stephenie Meyer shortly published the sequel to Twilight, New Moon, in August 2006. In its initial week of launch it debuted at the amount 5 position for young adult chapter books found on the New York Times bestseller’s list . It stayed in the amount 1 position for the upcoming eleven weeks. Even after relinquishing its first place, New Moon stayed found on the list. As of March 18, 2007, it had been there for twenty-eight weeks.

On May 5, 2007, New Moon: Special Edition was introduced. It included unique New Moon temporary tattoos, an Eclipse poster, and the initially chapter of Eclipse. The initially chapter of Eclipse was equally read by Meyer at the Eclipse Prom in Tempe, Arizona, on May 5.

On August 7, 2007, Eclipse, the sequel to Twilight and New Moon was introduced. In spring of 2008, Stephenie Meyer's adult sci-fi novel, The Host, is published by the adult division of Little, Brown and Company; it follows the story of Melanie Stryder and Wanderer, 2 ladies sharing a single body, that are forced to function together in purchase to conserve Jared, the fugitive guy they both love. Meyer has confirmed that The Host is the beginning of the unique sci-fi trilogy.

In fall of 2008, Breaking Dawn the tentatively-titled 4th novel in the Twilight series, is published. Meyer furthermore hopes to have Midnight Sun — that is Twilight created from Edward's perspective — published in the fall of 2008.

She also offers a story in Prom Nights from Hell, a collection of stories about bad prom nights with supernatural effects. The alternative authors that have added with a story in this book are Meg Cabot, Kim Harrison, Michele Jaffe, and Lauren Myracle. Prom Nights from Hell was introduced April 10, 2007.
