Running Blind - by Lee Child - Audio Book CD

Brand New (5 CDs - 6 hours):

It's tough being a high-flying female in the Army. Really tough. When Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cook are found dead in their own homes—in baths filled with Army-issue camouflage paint, their bodies completely unmarked—Jack Reacher is under suspicion. He knew them both—and he knows that they both left the Army under dubious circumstances, both victims of intimate harassment. A previous U.S. military policeman, a loner along with a drifter, he matches the emotional profile prepared by the FBI, and is arrested by ambitious Special Agent, Julia Lamarr.

But when the body of another girl, Sergeant Lorraine Stanley, is noticed, killed with synonymous precision, Reacher is introduced. Everyone worries there is a serial killer found on the loose. But the FBI have strong persuasive powers, and before extended Reacher finds himself heavily associated in the murder research. What have these females got in prevalent and why is somebody out to do them damage?

In this splendid and utterly ingenious thriller, Reacher again saves the day, proving that he is a distinctive hero, capable of carrying his own in any condition. Running Blind confirms that Lee Child is a bit more than capable of challenging the established names currently composing in this genre.

About Lee Child

Lee Child was born in 1954 in Coventry, England, but invested his formative years in the nearby city of Birmingham. By coincidence he won a scholarship to the same excellent school that JRR Tolkien had attended. He went to law school in Sheffield, England, and after part-time function in the theatre he joined Granada Television in Manchester for what turned out to be an eighteen-year profession as a presentation director during British TV's "golden age." During his tenure his organization produced Brideshead Revisited, The Jewel in the Crown, Prime Suspect, and Cracker. But he was fired in 1995 at the age of 40 as a outcome of business restructuring. Always a voracious reader, he decided to find a chance where others would have watched a crisis and purchased six dollars' value of paper and pencils and sat right down to write a book, Killing Floor, the initial in the Jack Reacher series.

Killing Floor was an immediate success and established the series that has grown in sales and impact with every brand-new installment.

Lee has 3 homes—an apartment in Manhattan, a nation home in the south of France, and whatever airplane cabin he arises to be in while traveling amongst the 2. In the US he forces a supercharged Jaguar, which was built in Jaguar's Browns Lane plant, thirty yards within the hospital in which he was born.

Lee spends his spare time reading, hearing to music, and viewing the Yankees, Aston Villa, or Marseilles soccer. He is married with a grown-up daughter. He is tall and skinny, despite an appalling diet along with a refusal to exercise.
