The pride of the Giambelli family along with a top PR executive, Sophia likes her job—and excels at it. But items are about to change at Villa Giambelli. And when acts of sabotage threaten both the family company and the family itself, Sophia’s quest is not just for dominance, and for survival.

About Nora Roberts

Nora Roberts was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, the youngest of five kids. After a school profession that included some time in Catholic school and the disciplines of nuns, she wedded young and settled in Keedysville, Maryland.

She worked quickly as a legal secretary. "I can kind rapidly but couldn’t spell, I was the worst legal secretary ever," she states today. After her sons were born she stayed home and tried every craft that came along. A blizzard in February 1979 forced her hand to test another creative outlet. She was snowed in with a 3 and six year aged without kindergarten respite in sight along with a dwindling supply of chocolate.

Born into a family of visitors, Nora had not recognized a time that she wasn’t reading or creating up stories. During the now-famous blizzard, she pulled out a pencil and notebook and started to write down 1 of those stories. It was there a profession was born. Several manuscripts and rejections later, her initial book, Irish Thoroughbred, was published by Silhouette in 1981.

Nora met her 2nd spouse, Bruce Wilder, when she hired him to build bookshelves. They were married in July 1985. Since that time, they’ve expanded their house, traveled the planet and opened a bookstore together.

Through the years, Nora has constantly been encircled by guys. Not just was she the youngest in her family, but she was moreover truly the only girl. She has raised 2 sons. Having invested her existence encircled by guys, Ms. Roberts has a very wise view of the workings of the guy notice, that is a continual delight to her visitors. It was, she’s been quoted as suggesting, a choice between figuring guys out or running away screaming.

Nora is a member of many writers groups and has won countless awards from her colleagues and the publishing industry. Recently The New Yorker called her "America’s favorite novelist."
